Stacy Hillenburg is mom to Ben, a 12-year-old Heart transplant recipient. Ben received his gift at 7 weeks old. He also has two older sisters, Klara and Abby. In addition to being on the Board of Transplant Families, Stacy is also the Secretary and Director of Communications. Stacy has also been a Developmental Therapist in Early Intervention for just over 12 years now. She is an independent contractor at Right Start Pediatric Therapies. Due to her qualifications, she helps out with educational webinars, articles, and any other necessary items for Transplant Families. She has a certification in Infant/Toddler brain architecture from Zero to Three. Before she worked as a Developmental Therapist, she was an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher for 4 years. She also does some advocacy for families at individualized educational program (IEP) meetings on an as-needed basis.
