Child in need of transplant gets help from national organization | WANE

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) A Fort Wayne family is hoping to raise money that would benefit a toddler in need of a life-saving kidney transplant. Volunteers are raising funds for the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA), a national charity dedicated to organizing and guiding communities in raising funds for transplant-related expenses.

They are working to raise funds for two-year-old Aiden Bearman, he was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease.The organization’s priority is to assure that no child or young adult is denied a transplant to excluded from a transplant waiting list due to lack of funds.

Aiden is a loving, smart and funny child, according to COTA’s website. His daily battle with kidney failure affects nearly every aspect of his life. Every night, he goes through 10 hours of Peritoneal Dialysis.
