Media >> Delaware County Council presented a resolution to Newtown Square resident Janet Murnaghan for her fight to get her 12-year-old daughter suffering from cystic fibrosis a lung transplant.
Murnaghan’s efforts not only garnered the media’s attention, it changed federal policy that previously prevented children under the age of 12 from being considered for mature lungs.
Council presented her with a resolution Wednesday morning, honoring her efforts that not only affected the Murnaghan family, but thousands of families nationwide with children on the organ donor list.
